Is The Portal an escape room?

Our signature games are considered escape rooms..but they often have an added flare of being inside of unique areas..like outer space or underwater. They also have barriers that you wouldn’t have in a physical escape room like small crustaceans that steal your stuff!

MANY escape room enthusiasts have enjoyed our virtual reality escape room as much or more than other physical escape rooms.

Our booths also have rooms like Escape, however they are very different than our premium experiences.

Are your games appropriate for kids?

We have many games that are considered family friendly. However if you WANT something more for adults, let us know.

Please note the minimum age for any activity is 8.

Can we share a booth?

Yes! Ask for a headset mask for a quick transition.

How do you play multiplayer with others

Our multiplayer games are cordless and free-roam. Choose from a 45 minute escape game or a 30 minute adventure game.

How many VR booths are at Portal?

We have 4 Virtual Reality booths plus a free roam area for a premium experience. Each booth has one headset and a Viewing screen for others to watch your play. The free roam experience allows upto 6 players at a time (depending on the experience) and takes the place of 4 booths.

What do I need to know?

Eyeglasses

  • Our headsets will fit over most eyeglasses!

Apparel

  • Wear shoes with a heel (No flip-flops!)

  • Please remove your hat when using our headsets.

  • Cover-up..you will be moving in ways you might not think of, so make sure your clothing moves with you

Makeup/facepaint – are not the best for VR as they can rub off inside the headset. We offer disposable masks to protect your makeup and our headsets.

Hair styles — best to wear your hair down or in a low ponytail. We like the headset to fit on your head as comfortably as possible.
